Chef clearly has a vision, the food was excellent and well presented. The menu has an interesting selection of dishes. The service was quick but curt. Nice semi- industrial decor. Good atmosphere. Was great watching the chef's work in the open plan kitchen. I enjoyed the steak tartare and patatas Bravas.

This place was a bit of a mixed bag. While the food was really excellent - we both had the six (or seven?) course set menu - and offers interesting combinations plus a lot of culinary bang for the buck, we noticed quite a few rough edges. The overall atmosphere was, well, rather rustic, with a couple of (too bright) lights dangling from the high ceiling. The service started off well, then turned rather lacklustre. The 80s playlist blaring from the tinny speakers didn’t help. Neither did the two bottles of wine we, well, tried: The first was a 2021 Endogen Vermell, a Rosé which tasted nothing like the description on the menu. It arrived cloudy and with a smell of sherry - signs of a wine well past its prime. (A gentleman behind the counter tasted the wine, and insisted that it was fine. Oh well.) We agreed to pay for the bottle, yet had it replaced with a Spanish Riesling/Viognier blend. The bottle which arrived was a 2018 vintage, i. e. five years old. Uh oh. This wine again had the tell-tale sherry notes of a wine past its best-before date, and tasted of not much beyond sour. Maybe we had really bad luck, however, while we can highly recommend the excellent food at this place (the deserts were simply amazing), maybe better have it with a beer.

Friendly staff, nice decor and dish presentation, however the taste of food was merely okay. Many other places exist in Poblenou with way better price-taste ratio, so sadly I don't think we will be coming back to Can Culleres. Also the heating wasn't on, inside the restaurant, so it was quite chilly.

The food was delicious and the staff/owners were incredible because I have a lot of intolerances, and an allergy and they were incredibly accommodating and made great care in making sure that no food would harm me. So thank you for that.

Amazing food. Very authentic Catalan food. We got a recommendation from Agatha, a bar tender in The Hoxton Hotel. Be sure to book a table and fair warning, the menu is not translated to English.
